Apple Announces TestFlight Group Testing
Apple has today announced to developers TestFlight Groups. This allows developers to create a group of testers for their application. Rather than having to add a tester to your app one by one, you can create a group of people that you can assign to every app that you want.
You just file people under a certain group and add then as testers. This allows developers to send out testing invites much quicker. They can always have a pre-determined list of people who will test an application. Developers can learn more about the new TestFlight Groups here.

Apple Increases Maximum App Size to 4GB
Apple has today started allowing developers to publish apps with higher file sizes. Before, the maximum application size was 2GB. Now, Apple is allowing developers to publish apps with a file size up to 4GB.
While this is great for developers, most people will likely refrain from downloading those apps. It’s a large file and people won’t want to spend time downloading the file. Also, unless you have a lot of empty space on your phone you might not have enough free storage. You can read Apple’s full announcement here.

Apple Confirms they’re Removing Aperture
Apple’s own take at Photoshop, Aperture, has been available in the Mac App Store for some time now. After WWDC there were rumors that Apple would remove that app from the App Store in place of the upcoming Photos app. Now, Apple has confirmed that they will in fact remove the app from the App Store. On the Aperture website, there is a notice from Apple saying that when the Photos app is available this spring, the Aperture app will be no longer available. Below is Apple’s comment on the app removal:
Aperture gives your photography the professional treatment it deserves, with more sophisticated tools to perfect your images and powerful ways to browse and choose your best shots. And now that Aperture is optimized for the MacBook Pro with Retina display, it’s a whole new way to see everything.
When Photos for OS X is available this spring, Aperture will no longer be available for purchase from the Mac App Store.
Some are worried that the new Photos app will lack some of those features of Aperture. Aperture had many features that made it a competitor of Photoshop. However, the Photos app seems limited in features and acts more like iPhoto, where there were few editing tools.

iOS 9 to Focus on Improvements
iOS 8 has only been out for about six months, but we’re already hearing rumors about iOS 9. The latest rumors say that iOS 9 isn’t going to be heavy of the features. Rather, it’s going to crack down on some bugs and include stability and optimization.
Apple has been putting developers in the spotlight the last few years so it’s hard to believe that Apple wouldn’t include anything new for developers to take advantage of. Right now that’s as much and little as we know. Sources don’t know much more about what will be new.
WWDC 2015 is likely going to happen sometime during the beginning of June. Apple always holds WWDC around that time so it’s a good estimate.
