Apple today has seeded the seventh beta of OS X Yosemite to developers. This seed comes two weeks and one day after the sixth seed. This version includes many improvements to the Dark Mode. Also, there is a new dark Spotlight search when Dark Mode is enabled. There are also several new icons, including Dashboard, Disk Utility, ColorSync Utility, Keychain Access, and Migration Assistant. Finally, we’ve got some new icons within System Preferences. Apple has also removed the Software Update feature within the Apple menu in place of a badge value next to the App Store option.
Developers can update to the latest beta from within the Mac App Store > Updates > Software Updates > OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 7 1.0. If you don’t have Yosemite yet you can download it from the Mac Developer Center.
