Apple Sells 100 Million iPod Touch Units

Following Apple’s launch today of the new 16GB iPod touch 5, The Loop reports that Apple has sold over 100 million iPod touches since it’s introduction in 2007. Apple has never announced in a press release how many units of the iPod touch they have sold so it’s a shock to hear about this after six years.
In addition to launching a new model of its iPod touch on Thursday, Apple told me this morning that it has sold more than 100 million units of the iPod touch since its introduction.
It’s been a month of milestones for Apple. They recently had their 50 billionth app downloaded and now this. They also announced that their 2013 WWDC sold out in less than 2 minutes.
