iOS 7 Beta 2 on the iPad

Apple just released iOS 7 beta 2 to developers today and it included support for the iPad 2, 3, 4, and mini. iOS 7 on the iPad looks very similar to iOS 7 on the iPhone (just like any other version of iOS). In this article we will see what the differences are between iOS 7 on the iPhone and on the iPad.

First, we will look at the home screen. Everything looks very similar to the iPhone. The springboard still consists of icons 5 by 4, just like the iPhone 5. The only icon that isn’t on the iPhone is Photo Booth. So far, there aren’t any screenshots of what the app looks like inside it. You can still swipe down from the top to access the Notification Center and swipe up from the bottom to get the Control Center.

Notification Center looks the same as on the iPhone, but Control Center is a little different. You still get the media controls as well as some quick on and off setting buttons. However, Apple eliminated the flashlight and calculator toggles. Other than that everything is the same.

This is the only main difference that you can see from the iPad compared to the iPhone when running iOS 7. Some of the apps have a slightly different design to scale better to the larger iPad screen, but you can count on there not being a huge design difference.
