Media Event Recap: Apple Watch

We’ve all heard the rumors of a smart watch from Apple, but they finally announced it today. More than half of the media event was spent showing off the “Apple Watch”. This is a smart watch the connects to your iPhone and shows you things like reminders, calendar events, messages, weather, stock, and much more. Unlike some simple smart watches, like the Pebble, this has a touch screen and features real apps that function on the watch itself.
When purchasing it you can pick from three different editions: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and Apple Watch Edition. The Apple Watch features a waterproof stainless steel face and wristband. You can also pick from a leather or plastic strap.
The Apple Watch Sport is more made for people who do sports. It also has a rubber wrist strap and a less classy and professional look.
Finally, the Apple Watch Edition is made of 18-karat gold. You can either pick from a rubber or leather wrist strap.
All three of the watches feature the same functionality. You can pick up an Apple Watch for a currently unknown price starting in early 2015.
