WWDC Recap – New AirPort Extreme
06/12/2013 18:01
Along with the arrival of some new software, at WWDC the other day, Apple also announced a new AirPort Extreme. It is designed to be much faster than the previous model. There are now six antennas at the top of the new taller design. This allows you to connect much faster and farther. Speaking of the new design, it’s much taller than the previous model and is a little shorter than the MacBook Air. You get the Apple logo on the top and a boxy design. When you look at it, it looks exactly the same as the Mac mini, but just taller. The new AirPort Extreme also runs ultrafast 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
The new design of the AirPort Extreme is the same for the AirPort Time Capsule (both 2 and 3TB). The AirPort Express still keeps its smaller design and lightweight style.
